Why Use an Oily Water Separator with a Spray Parts Washer?
When cleaning out the spray washer, the contaminated water has various oils ETC which cannot go to storm water.
By using an Oil Separator this water can be processed to sewerage or septic tank subject to local rules.
In some states an Oily Water Separator is required on the outlet of a triple interceptor. This is becoming a more common requirement.
